About
Jacqui
Over the years, I have worn many hats — healthcare professional, corporate leader, entrepreneur, mother, partner, patient, daughter, sister, and more.
But the role I am most passionate about today is walking alongside others as they navigate their own life journeys.
My path has not been linear. I have experienced the devastation of divorce and the complexities of single parenting. I have raised two remarkable, late-diagnosed autistic teenage daughters — an experience that has deepened my empathy and advocacy for neurodivergent individuals and families through a neuro-affirming lens. At the age of 40, I ventured back into the dating world, navigating apps, online sites, and all the awkwardness and entertaining stories that can come with it. Thankfully, I was fortunate to find love.
Along the way, I received a late diagnosis of ADHD, have lived with chronic fatigue syndrome, and came back from the edge of severe burnout. I have also walked through immense loss and grief, including being the mother of a very ill baby and child, and I have experienced trauma that changed the course of my life. These personal chapters are not just part of my story — they are woven into the way I work.
I know how hard it can be to hold it all together. I understand what it feels like to go unseen, unheard, and overwhelmed. And I also know the transformative power of support, insight, and the right tools to help you reconnect with yourself.
My Professional Background
I hold a degree in Nursing from the University of Cape Town, and postgraduate qualifications in Counselling and Life Coaching. I have worked in both the healthcare and executive worlds and have successfully run my own business. This combination of clinical experience, psychological training, and entrepreneurial insight allows me to meet clients wherever they are — whether navigating a personal crisis, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, or professional burnout.
I work with:
- Adults and teenagers struggling with anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or self-esteem
- Couples navigating conflict, parenting differences, or a need to reconnect
- Individuals recovering from Codependency and learning to set healthy boundaries
- Families adjusting to neurodivergence, sensory regulation, and identity development
- Clients seeking meaning and growth through life transitions such as divorce, illness, or career change
How I work
My approach is safe, trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and tailored to your needs. I draw from:
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- The Gottman Method for couples
- Emotionally Focused Therapy
- Attachment-based work
- Psychoeducation on the nervous system, sensory regulation, and co-regulation
- And many more….
I believe healing happens not just through insight, but through connection — with ourselves, our bodies, and those around us.
Why I Do This Work
Because I know how it feels to be stuck, overwhelmed, and uncertain — and I also know how it feels to move forward with support, self-awareness, and the right guidance.
I am passionate about helping you rewrite your story with self-compassion, resilience, and authenticity. You do not have to do this alone — and you do not have to be anyone other than yourself in my space.
If you are ready to explore what healing, clarity, and growth could look like for you, I would be honoured to walk that path with you.
